Will Bertelsen: It's hard to tell from the outside but this place makes great sandwiches and has some of the friendliest staff in the city. You can tell they care about what they serve. Neighborhood gem.
Fast Company: When staffers at Stamen Design (#48 on Fast Company's 2011 list of Most Innovative Companies) aren't creating next-gen data visualizations for Nike, they're lunching at The Sandwich Place.
Crillmatic: Order a large chicken apple sausage sandwich and thank me later.
Alex Borodach: Most authentic Italian trattoria I've seen in Bay Area. All staff 99% Italian, food is tasty and last not least - service is pleasantly attentive and full of Italian soul.
Rodrigo Cabanas: Feels like home made food ... Eggplant, Lasagna, Calamari, everything I have had there remembers me my grandmother cooking.
oohgodyeah: Sit at the counter to watch their pizza artistry while still having your glass refilled by the waiter. Staff is so friendly/attentive, even the manager stops by to ensure your meal is wonderful.
David Covell: Get the beyti. It's fantastic. And they may well have the best hummus in the city.
Philipp Reichardt: Order the Cold Platter and share it with your friends. So good
Anna James: Cold meze platter is really good, specially the Dolma. I totally loved Karniyarik for main course, it's very similar to Moussaka. Ordered the Turkish coffee and the server did a small trick for us.

Brad T: Fried Olives are a must. The French toast is some of the best in the city! Ask nice and they may do a half order for you during brunch.
Ivar: Outdoor patio is fantastic. Try out the chicken hash pepper dish for sunday brunch.
Samihah Azim: Start w/the fried olives and beignets to share. Hunter's eggs and the French toast were amazing. They'll do half of each if you ask. If you get eggs Benedict, get smoked salmon instead of florentine
Doriane Mouret: Great service, great food, great prices! Here for brunch? Get the Eggs Benedict. And if you're not super hungry, you can get the half order. Love this place!
Karen Schneider: A really good bet for out-of-towners--excellent location, reliable food, and a good cause.
Victoria Hawes: Brunch is super cheap! 2 meals and 2 coffees- total was 17!!!
