Akiko IOctober 9, 2015Best quality ice cream in CA. Period. Their Earl Grey is my fav! Honey lavender was meh. The best quality and taste, no doubt!- Salted caramel and malted vanilla are the best. If you're hungry, skip the like and get a pint to go (you can skip to the front of the line) or head to the market across the street.

The salted caramel is worth waiting on the long line for. Other ice cream varieties worth trying when they're available are the strawberry with balsamic vinegar or crème fraiche.

Ricanelas is the go-to, but any of their seasonal flavors are delicious. Get a sundae if you can, it's worth it.

The hype is big and the line is always around the block. While lauded for the Salted Caramel, I find it overrated—go for the Balsamic Strawberry, Honey Lavendar, or anything involving brown sugar.

In case you missed it, there's a window for soft-serve with almost no line. Limited flavors, but worth the extra time lounging in the park if they have 1 you like. Great daily combos too!

Instead of waiting in line, boldly walk in and grab something from the freezer. You can pay for it without waiting in the line!

Ideally come here on a hot summer day, buy some salted caramel ice cream and space out on the green grass of Mission Dolores down the street! Don't forget to visit the Bi-Rite market down the block!

Marie AfricaJune 7, 2010If you're at Bi-Rite and the line is ridiculous, go to the "quitter" soft serve line- much shorter. If you know what flavor you want, you can buy a pint there and you can also get yummy soft serve!
