- The perfect representation of modern San Francisco. A clash of hippies, hipsters, gays, Hispanics and plenty of white tech workers enjoying a rare sunny day and zero enforcement of booze and weed.Upvoted Feb 18
- Kevin GrantSeptember 27, 2018Buy a 6 pack and some weed and hang out in the park for some excellent people watching and general chilling. You're sitting on grass so bring something to sit on if you don't like grass.
- A great place for kids under the age of 13 even though Dolores Park should have it's own zip code it is a hit for tourists and hipsters and drugs dealers and people selling food and drinks
- Jeffrey KaoMay 7, 2018The spot you'd hang out if you were a San Franciscan on a Saturday. Keep an eye out for the Truffle guy and his magic wares 😏😏😏
- One of the best San Francisco parks to visit. Beautiful vistas of the city! Perfect to visit and hang with friends on a sunny day!
- Pacific UnionOctober 24, 2012Great people watching. Take in the views from a bench at the top of the hill at night or check out the cute pooches in the dog area. And don't forget to stop at Maxfield's or Bi-Rite for a treat.
- Go early for best spots, bring a blanket, and a speaker. Don't be that person who brings a loud dog to gay beach, you will have some queen (me) go off on you
- It’s got some off leash places for dogs which is nice. Gets incredibly busy on the weekends. The view from the top of the park is great.
- Jam AdanAugust 16, 2015House music on a Saturday afternoon provided by semi naked guys. Bud smell in the air. Good vibes everywhere. Festival atmosphere. California gurls rolling around in dog poo (long story, but funny as)
- Fodor's TravelJanuary 29, 2016The Mission District is a neighborhood perpetually in transition and a convergence of cultures, cuisines, and all things cool. The Mission is also known for Chicano murals. Read more
- Bring a blanket, picnic, frisbee or football, some pot, camp out on top of the hill at Church & 20th and watch the boys, dogs, parrots, and hipsters in the park below, and the magnificent city view.
- We went when it was partly cloudy but I can see it being much more scenic on a sunny day. Imo Twin Peaks has the better view, but this place is much more accessible. Also near Bi-Rite Creamery.
- Luis CastroFebruary 1, 2015Lay back and enjoy the views, whether it be the hula hooping girls or the families enjoying the day with their kids. It's a good tourist place too.
- The Mini JohnMay 12, 2015Although a large part of the park is under construction right now, it's still my favorite park in the mission. Awesome view & mix of people.
- Dee SepulvedaMay 13, 2016The statues related to México's Independence are Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla (the guy who led the Independence movement) and Campana de Dolores (the bell that was ringed by Hidalgo to gather people)
- Nothing beats a sunny weekend afternoon in Dolores Park! BYO PBR (or buy it from a local vendor if you didn't plan ahead).
- c0uPDecember 21, 2013I've been here 39 times and 4sq says I haven't left a tip. So, go here, walk or run or sit around and enjoy the sun and people!
- This place is awesome. All sorys of different and fun people here. Lots of sun to soak up. Make sure you pee before you come. The restrooms are bad and long lines.
- Mission Dolores Park is a beautiful Park and can be even an excellent Park when party goers would pick up their trash where they leave the park. And keep Dolores Park beautiful for everyone.
- Jesse AtkinsonJuly 24, 2015Bring a blanket to sit on and cash to buy random goodies people are selling. Bi-Rite is nearby and great for snacks, but if you want a sandwhich from there on a weekend be prepared to wait.
- The Bold ItalicOctober 12, 2011Want to hit the crap out of a giant ball? Barring rain, Volleybonk is played every Sunday at the Dolores Park tennis courts from 8 to 10:15 p.m. Drink beer, make new friends, & perfect your high-five! Read more
- Come on a sunny day (or any day) with a couple tall boys. Purchase an edible and people watch. When you're done with your tall boys, get more from "Cold Beer Dude". End by heading to Bi-Rite Creamery.
- Travis PhillipsOctober 27, 2014Great views on the upper portion of the park. Was going through some type of remodel on one side of the park but still plenty of space
- Richard BarrMarch 10, 2014A beautiful place to spend time with your family and/or friends you can bring your own food and make a picnic :) or you can only lay down on the grass and rest
- Lisa Harper CarterApril 1, 2016My favorite park in SF. Recently completely renovated. On warm sunny days, the top half is the closest thing we have to a beach party atmosphere in SF.
- Michelle PenaJuly 29, 2015Weekend picnics! Come early, and don't bring sunscreen. There's a guy that will do that for you.
- On a sunny day, get yourself some champagne or wine (or beverage of choice) and a snack, and just sit here and relax, overlooking the beautiful city skyline.
- One of my most favorite places in the city to hang with friends and drink Mimosas on a Sunday afternoon. Don't forget to check out the hunky Jesus contest on Easter Day!
- Eastern pathway is a nicer part of Dolores Park Pathway where most runners and joggers use instead of western pathway and eastern pathway has views of San Francisco skyline and very popular.
- Ann SwellcityguideOctober 1, 2016Great view at the top of 20th and Church Streets. Beware of poop so watch where you step. Movies in the park during the summer. Please help keep the park beautiful 🙏
- Extremely hard to find parking. But it is a very nice park for picnic, hanging out with friends, and playing with dogs!
- Andrea CampiMay 10, 2015Awesome park, and the playground is stellar. My toddler wouldn't stop talking about it for weeks
- Favourite park ever. Get some beer or ice cream at the bi rite market and chill here.
- Zii HammadApril 3, 2015The slopes and dogs here mated with the elevation and interesting characters makes this place super tubular, brah. Bring food and have a sit or a read!
- If you have a smartphone, find your location in your mapping app of choice. Then take a screenshot, and share it when you check in so that others may find you more easily (h/t Tantik Çelik)
- Between dozing off, drinking a few beers, and meeting new friends for frisbee or other outdoor fun, a warm day at Dolores park cannot be beat.
- Liking Dolores Park is liking your mother on crack. This neighborhood park is a haven for hipsters on a one stand and privileged mother's telling the locals to piss off.
- Gürkan GezginMarch 15, 2013I feel at peace here! Whether it's during the week when it's a little bit quiter, or over the weekend while it's swarming with people all day! Great vibes!
- Sam MoellerMay 25, 2016This is so one of the most beautiful park of the USA.Everyone go to the park and enjoy this beauty of park.
- Christine RødeApril 3, 2016I feel like I grew up in this park, from 2009 to 2015. The crowd on sunny weekends is borderline obnoxious today, but good people watching.
- Brooke NiassAugust 18, 2015Beware that half the park is currently under renovation/re landscaping by the looks of it. Pretty busy but still an amazing view <3
- Great scenic views of the San Francisco and amazing vibe you get from the people!
- RosalineNovember 7, 2015A lovely way to spend your afternoon in Mission. Pack a picnic- lots of locals enjoying their weekend here. Calm, open and clean.
- Aditi LuthraMay 21, 2018Cutest park, you’ll see the most quirky and random things, grab a blanket and chill here, go to cafe Dolores for a vegan donut
- Screw all the local overpriced overcrowded favorites (aka tartine, bi-rite) get your stuff on mission and buy things from the awesome park vendors- sometimes the brownies come with a hug and a kiss!
- Great place to enjoy nature. Picnics, walk your dog, bring your kids. Restroom. Keep the park clean.
