The Italian is awesome. Finally a good sandwich place in DC. I've waited years for a place like this. Very fresh and a great combo of sauces...the mayo, bubs vinaigrette, and homemade hoagie relish.
hands down, the best italian hoagie in DC and awesome homemade potato chips. so much better than what's coming out of taylor gourmet these days.

Best "on the go" shrimp n' grits around. The shrimp po boy comes with a nice vinegar slaw to brighten up the sandwich. Worth a trip!
Shrimp poboy sandwich is legitimately good. Would have never trusted shrimp from a food truck until I tried puddin truck.

This old-school deli offers some of the best traditional subs in the city. Order the 'G-Man' sub, so named after two 1970s-era FBI agents who requested a sub not on the menu.
The G man (Italian sub) is the main offering (get it on a soft roll), but the meatball sub was the sleeper hit (get it on the hard roll). But all in all, everything was great.

Shrimp Po Boy. Very good. Spicy. Happy Hour. Reggae music playing lightly in the background. Fisherman's wharf decor. Cool!
Food is very good, excellent whisky menu. Mussels are a must, you'll ask for more bread to soak up the delicious broth. Po boys are good. Quite an array of oysters to choose from.

VACE's is a DC institution! The pizza is outrageously delicious and the Italian cold cut sub is big and tasty.
