I had the shrimp with pimento cheese grit cakes 😳 All I can say is AAAMAZING! Crab dip appetizer was awesome as well!
Oysters should obviously be the first thing on your to-try list - especially chef Jamie Leeds own varietal of oyster, the Hayden's Reef. Try the lobster rolls, po' boys, and crab cakes too..
Don't go on a Monday. Get the blue cheese mussels and ask the server to recommend a beer you've never had.
Go during the week or plan lots of time on the weekend. My favorite is an order of Moroccan mussels with a Saison Dupont.
They open at 5pm. I would recommend arriving then, grabbing a seat at the bar and ordering one of their random selections on tap. Great beer selection & mussels. (4 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more.
Truly the most exquisite service I have had in DC. The mocktails are refreshing, lobster ravioli to die for and dessert-- save room for the sweets! A+ experience
The crab cakes are SO good, especially on the Eggs Chesapeake. Good Bloody Marys too, nice and spicy! Service is also very friendly.
The Lobster roll is awesome. Just be ready to stand if you plan on eating there, super tiny place with like 4 spots to sit. Very good food though.
Ask for a table near the bustling, open kitchen, and watch the expert French chefs create your luscious lobster burger or hanger steak with the city's best frites.
The Cheese Puffs, Lobster Burger and Fried Chicken with Mashed Potato are a must have...so good!!!!!!
Best bets: lobster and tuna burgers in addition to the beef standard. The fried chicken is also incredible. Read more.
Fun place for a weeknight dinner with friends. The mussels and country pate are fantastic here as well as the steak frite. Try them with a glass of the Beaujolais.
