Do not go here at any typical time for grocery shopping or you will want to kill yourself because it's so crowded and full of obnoxious yuppies and hippies.
The most technologically advanced grocery store to date. Ask about the carts with no wheels and hover technology. And don't take no from the customer service when they say they don't have them.
This location is ALWAYS crowded. If you plan on grocery shopping, I suggest going later on in the day. It's great for quick lunches (sushi, fresh salads/sandwiches, pizza, etc). I love Whole Foods!
If you're trying to grocery shop, avoid Wednesday evenings: "Wine Down Wednesdays". Lines for the wine and food booths block the aisles, and visitors put their plates and glasses on displays. Crowded!

Streets Market has all the essentials from groceries to toiletries. 🍷🍺🧀🥑The best location (in the Cambridge building) - no need for CVS or the Wholefoods. It would be nice to have fresh deli bar.

The produce is fresh and fairly priced. A lot of times its cheaper than the grocery store. I always stop in hear to get all my ingredients for Shabu Shabu, except the meat.

Really really well stocked japanese market with everything from wet packed ramen & udon noodles to pre-made onigiri. Extensive frozen section as well.

The Lin Bowl! A wonderful rice bowl with tofu, mushrooms and kimchi. Scrumptious and filling.
Kind of on the edge of the city, but talk about selection! So many options, the grounds were clean, and the staff was very helpful and energetic.
the meat and seafood vendors have great stuff at low prices. the quality is much better than you will find at any grocery store.
If looking for a zen grocery experience, Eastern Market is the go-to. For one, there's a tremendous apple stand. Pink lady and golden crisps are top notch. And buy a jar of McCutcheon's honey inside.
Buy produce in season. Way cheaper than the grocery store. 5 pickling cucumbers for $1
Great Giant location. Very classy grocery store atmosphere though as with other Giant locations, their prices aren't the lowest around.

The renovated giant was a really pleasant surprise. The many new departments and easy Check out were a real pleasure I will definitely make it a routine stop.

Great new spot in Capital Hill. In addition to the unique grocery items for sale, they have tasty, well-made sandwiches and the best Cortado coffee I have had in DC.

For fans of craft beer and liquor, this Costco has Ommagang beer and Catoctin Creek gin and rye.
Best Costco ever. Seriously. Ample parking, they sell booze, great samples, and the staff is helpful and friendly. To top it off, I didn't even have to wait in a line to check out. Love this place
Free underground parking, lines are usually manageable. This may be the sanest grocery shopping experience close to downtown DC.
