One of the top burgers in DC here called, appropriately, the Proper Burger: two patties topped with Gouda, charred red onion, sweet chili sauce, dill pickles, rocket & garlic aioli on a brioche bun.

Can’t recommend it enough! Got the Truffle Mac&Cheese, Proper Burger, and Caribbean Queen, and all were fantastic. Be sure to talk to a staff member to get in the waitlist for a table, or come early.
The turkey burger with avocado is great. The thyme & Rosemary fries are a delight. The only thing I miss are hot peppers. I guess it's B.Y.O.P. lls

Cheeseburger was amazing. They serve coffee cakes as soon as you sit down (which are sooo good). Perfect place for Sunday lunch with Bloody Mary!!! Recommended!

Seriously, THE BEST BURGER in DC. Duke's Counter and its sister restaurant Duke's Groceries are absolute gems for casual but elevated English pub food. It's all so delish!!
proper burger was really delicious 🤤 in medium rare cook but curry poutine was not my favorite too much cheese, I think home fries would be a better choice👌🏻👌🏻
