Less smokey than it used to be, which is a big plus! Cozy, comfy neighborhood bar with great cocktails. Although whisky oriented, they do great stuff with gin & vodka as well. Basil Gimlet anyone?
Not an easy find. But look for a dim light coming from the windows. The atmosphere is great, they music was like from a Woody Allen movie. The Whiskey Sour is a must!

Avant-garde with old fashioned hospitality. Signatures change regularly but could include Miso Caliente (Scotch, miso syrup) or Murder in the Vines (bourbon, citrus, rosemary, Ruby Port, raisin syrup)

I'm having the Harviestoun (beer) 30th anniversary edition. It's beer aged in the 30 year old highland park whiskey cask. Very dark, smells like currant. 8% so go easy.

Excellent cocktails and great atmosphere. One of the best cocktail bars I have ever been to, you should not miss it. Ask to get to the third floor. Even better cocktails and even nicer atmosphere.

Wonderful little Japanese Cocktail bar hidden inside of el Ocho. Oji-San and Michael are still in soft opening, but the drinks are fantastic and they really take good care of their customers. Go!

If you are looking for Nikka whiskeys, you are out of luck. Get Yamazaki instead.
