Off the Grid: Presidio is every Sunday from late April to mid-October 2013. A must do especially on a warm sunny day. Plenty of food vendors/trucks and bars for beer, wine, Bloody Marys!

Take lunch from the Boat House across the footbridge to Strawberry Island. Eat at the picnic tables near the waterfall, then climb stairs for a bridge view. Afterward, paddle boats! $25 for an hour.
There are plenty of park benches to stop along the way through your hike for a picnic or watch the geese.
