Incredible place to get some soul food. Delicious beignets with crab and gumbo with grits and prawns. I love it.
There is never a good reason to not get the gumbo or red beans and rice. If you don't eat it there, take it to go.

I usually just get the gumbo and either fried pickles or okra. Excellent.
Stop in and say hi to Gumbo Social - you will be glad you did. The gumbo is absolutely top drawer (vegan option as well) and that shrimp po boy. Owwweeeeee.
Get the fresh Hog Island oysters and the gumbo!
Great meal. The wait for a party of 6 was about an hour and a half and they were out of the clam chowder, but the gumbo and oysters were fantastic.
Definitely try out they're chowder and the grilled cheese sandwich. Gumbo is also available for order on Sundays only.
You're cheating yourself if you don't try the fried chicken. Also, when they have it, the gumbo is fantastic.

The gumbo is excellent... just the right amount of spice! The peanut butter stew is very good too. If you want to try the fried chicken in a smaller portion, get the drummettes.

Seasonal menu that's consistently delicious. The atmosphere is French country-ish, but the food is all California farm fresh yumminess. Comfort food with a fine dining twist and excellent service.

Best Boston bar in San Francisco. Great food (even though I miss the tofu tacos) and friendly rowdy crowd that fills up for boston sports games. Huge back patio full of TVs and lots of seating.

From the street, enter Macy’s and go up to The Cheesecake Factory, via elevator or escalators. The restaurant has an outdoor area where you can take great overhead photos of Union Square.
