Good shisha / hookah. Took a group of 15 there and they took care of us very well. Shisha flavors were good.
Girls. Never pay for entrance. If they ask, walk away. But do it slowly so they can change their mind.

Café with plenty of chocolate treats and hot & cold beverages. Good WiFi & they let you work/hang out for however long you want (lots of expats come here). Can get warm, but there are fans upstairs.
The most spacious of the three Ah Cacaos in Playa with plenty of indoor seating. Also has a section to leave/trade your used books. :-)

Everything is so good! The specialty aguas, and the Chévere Arepa are my fav
They give you a sample of all their juices! Tried tequenos as an appetizer. Arepas and cachapas were both delicious as well. This place is family owned, and everyone is so sweet. Excellent service!

Free vodka drinks for ladies on Thursday nights starting at 8pm! Very trendy and upscale but still fun and welcoming. Solid slightly-Americanized food; the sandwiches & burritos are good. Not cheap.

Fabulous seafood tostadas! Big chunks of seafood and generously sized portions all round. Not the cheapest, but still great value.
My favourite was the Tostada de Camarón and the Caribean Tartar. Also very lovely service and atmosphere.

Yummy!! The falafel burger is awesome, the lentil colognes bolognese is so creative and tasty.

A great little vegan cafe, the two women who work here are friendly and welcoming and the smoothies are terrific (try the one with spirulina). The food was pleasant and colourful (scrambled tofu).

A fabulous all-inclusive resort even better now after the complete renovation in '12. Great super modern rooms, food choices, top shelf liquor, and amazing beach are all why I can't wait to come back!

The food is great and good options. But the service is terrible. Since living in playa I will go here as it is the best Italian food in town just to bad the service is bad every time.

I always ask for the espresso solo in a ceramic cup which is more italian, greener and the only way to serve the expresso, too...
