Amazing place, unique and tasty dishes. The appetizer with ham is the must have. Beautiful bar and good for drinks too.
Potato gnocchi is a MUST, as are the roasted mushrooms. Extraordinary restaurant, all New Yorkers must try at least once.

Sneaky good brunch. Pastries baked in-house, solid egg dishes, and some great pasta if you need to eat off a hangover. Double bonus points for taking reservations.

The Buvette chef's take on rustic Italian small plates with rustic West Village decor. Equally tasty, great value ($90 dinner for two with wine), and the perfect date spot. Crostini are all great.
Highly recommend the Spaghetti and meatballs. They also have a good selection of bottled craft beer.
Very tasty, cozy and casual Italian restaurant. Try the Fettucine Ai Funghi, the House Meatballs Over Polenta, or share La Spaghettata with a large group!

New Italian small plates spot from the Aria team, perfect for a date with the same great value and even more cozy than the original. Burrata, lamb, all the pastas including bucatini, creme brûlée.
New favorite! Bruce the manager is a gem! Get the burrata (always a special app), kale salad, spaghetti polpetti, tortellini w/cream sauce. Pair it w/a bottle of Super Tuscan & finish w/bread pudding!
Get the cast iron focaccia, the onion torte, the rigatoni, and the bombolino. All stellar.

I live a block away. I've been here 120 times, they still ask me where I'm from and if I've ever been here before. The food is good but turnaround of staff is high. Who's torturing these people!

Get the agnolotti with squash, the ravioli with mushrooms and truffles, the bolognese pappardelle. Pasta is all out of this world.

great Italian (although pricey) in an area with little else. veal piccata was superb.
The mushroom truffle fettuccine is to die for. Make sure to get a table in the adorable garden.
Try the restaurant where Lady Gaga, just barely pre-fame, worked as a waitress. (The staff famously made her cry)
Sit in the back garden, order the calamari with mint leaves and cauliflower appetizer. Along with spinach and buffalo cheese ravioli! Do try the tiramisu.
Smoked salmon pizza and pink Negroni on draft are both excellent
Outdoor tables are now way too close together so you might not want to sit there.
