The parkways are two essential routes between the cities. Our favorite view of the river is on the Marshall Ave. bridge--Make sure to check out the Mississippi overlook at the end of Summit Ave, too!
The trail gets covered with sticks and wet leaves after it rains. If you're on skates watch carefully!

Not as busy/annoying as the Calhoun trail.
The creek boasts awesome walking and biking trails. The tree cover is lush and green all summer and gorgeous in the fall.
Day or night, this is the best place to walk your dog in Nokomis!
After getting run over by the tourists at Calhoun you move to Harriet, then you get run over by one of the over 100 5K runs held there each year, The locals run Minnehaha Creek.
Nice nature hike with some unique plants, but can get easily flooded on some of the trails.

This is a beautiful garden. Wander to the farther back areas to escape the crowd.
This is the oldest public wildflower garden in the US. In 1907 Eloise Butler & 3 botany teachers successfully petitioned the Park Board to create a natural botanic garden to preserve native flora.
August means the prairie is beautiful right now. Flowers, frogs, bugs, birds!
