Mis-labelled a hiking trail. Don't forget this is a bike path. Please stay to the sides or entirely off the bike lanes. Getting hit by a bike does not feel good.

When going towards beach look at bike path and make sure there's no bikers you will get hit or yellled/cussed at
Afternoon gets super crowded, don't even think of biking it! Stick to the nearby bike path. Great for people watching.
Get ready to deal with all sort of people invading the bike lines, with total disregard for bikers. Sand all over the place, needs maintenance. But, it's the most awesome bike path in the whole world!
Great place to go for a cruise. The section by the Pier is crowded, but north of the Pier is calm and scenic.
The trails are flat and manicured and they hug the Pacific. From the Santa Monica Pier, it's just over three miles to Venice's skate park — a site to see whether you skate or not.
