Breakfast sandwiches are basically sausage/bacon burgers...so basically awesome. Plus you can get stumptown cold brew here!
The breakfast sandwich with bacon and gooey cheddar is half the price ($5.50) and twice as good as anything else in the terminal. Get some Stumptown, too.
If the line is bad - walk further down and there is another Shake Shack at gate B34 that is less busy

Be sure to eat lots of three bean chili before your international flight. Great vegetarian addition to the menu!
This is the best Sky Club I have ever been in. All the usual free stuff, hundreds of seats with 2 power outlets ' each seat. Also this one has a premium bar, good food for $, & a panoramic runway view
Don't miss the deck. The outlets are hidden in the planters...

Get a bottled Stumptown cold brew for your flight or for when you land. When I go to Europe I take 4 bottles so I can have proper coffee during my trip.
Huge win for Delta over Virgin as this couldn't be farther from the latter's gates. There's a power plug and two USB charging ports at every table, which should be a requirement of civilization.

Terminal 5 has great food options. Get sushi to go, I usually get a spicy crunchy salmon roll (off menu.)
Need some rest from New York’s skyscrapers? Go visit “The High Line” in Chelsea! This public park built on a defunct railway that runs 30 feet above Manhattan really is extraordinary and relaxing.
Airtrain it back to Manhattan if you're travelling solo. It takes an hour and it's only $7 compared to a $50 cab where you can get stuck in traffic. Just follow the signs.
If it's your first time buying from Baked by Melissa, this is a chain in New York. It's not over priced for what the product is...gourmet mini cupcakes. I love the brand.
