One of the most authentic izakaya experiences outside of Japan I've ever had. I'm somewhat of a regular, even though it's a long way from my place. Friendly staff, good food, and real Japanese beer.

Lots of focus on authentic Japanese items. Try the futomaki (or "big roll"), which contains imitation crab, tamagoyaki (Japanese omelette), pickled daikon (radish), carrots, tofu and greens. Yum!
Possibly the most authentic Japanese restaurant in town. If you are a casual sushi fan this is a great introduction to more delicate and masterfully prepared sushi.

Pretty good place. The red curry almost tastes 100% authentic and made-from-scratch. Vegetable dishes really nicely done, veggies cooked perfectly. Cheese rolls rocks. Lunch is so reasonable, too.

My favorite is the premium white tonkotsu ramen and adding a small table spoon of the spicy sauce to it! I love the atmosphere so much more than the other JINYA ramen I have been to in California.

My favorite Thai spot in Houston. They are always friendly and helpful when I make my vegetarian and anti-onion requests in my dishes. Carla is especially sweet.

Greeted before seated, a warm traditional touch. Small but cozy. Great sushi selection & price. Ordered a roll & received a complimentary miso soup & ginger salad, Neat! Other places charge for these.

Tried all the Thai in town, this one does look the best but it is the closest thing you will find to authentic Thai and I live in BKK 6 months so know a little bit about it...

Pretty authentic. Small, family feel with the Japanese focus on service. I didn't try the fish since it's hard to get good fish in tx but I would try it next time. Their lunch specials hit the spot.

The kai pa lo is it. I looked for forever for a place in Houston that offers it. It's kind of a sweet and salty pork, egg, and tofu stew with rice. A different flavor than other Thai dishes.
The second authentic HK eatery in town. Order the R15 fish fillet and eggplant on rice. Iced HK style milk tea to drink. Credit cards OK.

Yummy martinis, and my favorite dishes - black pepper beef, aka tofu, gin dara, crater roll, godzilla roll, and the red moon roll. They also have Reverse Happy Hour after 9pm.

Crazy authentic Asian place! They have tons of fresh crab and lobster in the tanks and also the famed gooey duck!

Not that impressive. I was expecting some good authentic Cajun style food from this place since it is called "LA Fisherman" as in Louisana Fisherman. Instead it was the Vietnamese version of seafood.
Their secret to amazing seafood: the seasoning! Spring for the whole shebang (a mix of all the seasonings they offer) and you won't be disappointed!!
Try the Crawfish - LA special...1st time here and it was pretty damn good...$6.99/lb good price!!!
