Bayou Bend has the most beautiful gardens! Family day is so fun for everyone. Everyone should spend an afternoon here at least once a year. I recommend the spring!
Coming from someone who does house tours daily they need signs to explain tour times and a visitors guide/map of the gardens. The house tour was excellent though :-)
The butterfly exhibit is great and I've always been a fan of the planetarium. Seeing Lois (the corpse flower) was anticlimactic, though I do enjoy my "Bring on the Funk" button.
Burke Baker Planetarium is one of the most advanced in the world. Don't be surprised if you see a few NASA astronauts here as we use the facility to assist with training on starfield identification. Read more.
If you are able to, take a tour, the guides area rained well and extremely knowledgable enhancing this important museum.
