Bayou Bend has the most beautiful gardens! Family day is so fun for everyone. Everyone should spend an afternoon here at least once a year. I recommend the spring!
Bayou Bend is the former home of Ima Hogg, a famous philanthropist. Visitors can wander through 14 acres of woodlands & formal gardens, or check out the house that contains 4,800 various works of art.
Beautiful gardens
Coming from someone who does house tours daily they need signs to explain tour times and a visitors guide/map of the gardens. The house tour was excellent though :-)
The museum staff are extremely helpful and will provide lots of information about the collection and the history of the place when asked.

The architecture is great. I was super impressed. No exhibits were open which was a bummer but the free event was cool to watch (Mandala Sand Painting)
The butterfly exhibit is great and I've always been a fan of the planetarium. Seeing Lois (the corpse flower) was anticlimactic, though I do enjoy my "Bring on the Funk" button.
Burke Baker Planetarium is one of the most advanced in the world. Don't be surprised if you see a few NASA astronauts here as we use the facility to assist with training on starfield identification. Read more.
The live butterfly exhibit fascinates children as does the Challenger Learning Center with its intro to space science. Spend time exploring the dinosaur exhibit, if you need a break enjoy an IMAX film
Right outside the Tot Spot room is a great play area with Little Tike Cars
Take a bite out of their juicy fruit salad. It's peeled, sliced and served fresh daily.

If you are able to, take a tour, the guides area rained well and extremely knowledgable enhancing this important museum.
This museum is a tribute to the victims of the concentration camps during WWII. Through changing exhibits, films & lectures it seeks to inform future generations of the horrifying results of hatred.
This museum is excelent. We went through it with a guide and the stories she told were moving, educational... The exhibits are well done. Take your time to let it all soak in.

Paintings are abundant, but the lovely sculpture garden is also worth viewing. Film buffs love the museum for its weekly showing of classic and foreign films.

Very cool. I was never an astronomy buff but coming here won me over. Interesting films about the history of NASA and goals for future. Take a tram ride to explore the large, detailed campus.
