A hole in the wall Mexican joint at it's finest. One of the few places to eat in downtown that's downright cheap. Daily plate specials and $4 breakfast plates. Fresh cooked and fresh tortillas.
Decent and cheap bf tacos. Good migas, beans, and rice. Homemade flour tortillas but corn are packaged.

Love Warren's Inn. Strong drinks and cheap too. Old historic building could be haunted cause it's old but I don't know just really love the place.
Treebeards. In the downtown Houston tunnel system has some of the best homemade food: red beans & rice w/sausage, cheese & onions... Chicken & Sausage gumbo are standouts.
Chili is good, meat loaf is good, chicken fried chicken is good
Really cool place to drink and hangout..the fod isn't bad either. The occasional video game tournament is awesome as well.
Pretty chill place. It kind of feels like a nerds basement turned into a bar. Staff, games, and beer selection are all great too and Pablo cooks some mean BBQ out on the patio.
This is the best place in all of Houston. Cycle friendly, kind people, good beer - a real gem. Enjoy it.

Make a practice of carrying cash if you want to make this haunted, dusty escape your spot. They don't accept plastic of any kind.
Their Hummus doesn't even compare to Yia Yia Mary's but their Nikoritas are cheap and strong. That's about the only reason I go here
