Lots of bars so it’s easy to grab a drink. Despite being large, good acoustics and sound with minimal echo.

One of the best known designs of Dankmar Adler and Louis Sullivan. Completed in 1889 the building is located on S. Michigan Ave. and Congress Parkway. National historic LM in 1975.
This auditorium was designed by Sullivan and Adler and built by Ferdinand Wythe Peck, who wanted to create the world's grandest theater. President Grover Cleveland laid the first cornerstone in 1887.
Take the stairs if you can. The elevators are slow!!

If you have not seen this, go to the Chicago Cultural Center, it’s an architectural gem & this enormous Tiffany dome is awesome. I’ve seen it many times & it never ceases to amaze me.
Historic theater (est. over 100 yrs ago!). Intimate, every seat is good. Saw ‘Bunny Bunny Gilda Radner’ & it was excellent! Will follow future shows for sure.
Intimate live theater in the "sophisticated" Southport Corridor. Saw the Christmas Schooner and would recommend to anyone looking for a holiday classic. No concessions but lots of options close by.
The Addams Family Musical was amazing! Every seat is a great seat.
It's a beautiful theater. Park in the Millenium Park Garage for a convenient underground entrance (and to avoid the cold in the winter!)
Great venue for a musical performance. Acoustics are wonderful, the stage is deep, and you can't beat the location: Millennium Park!

The worship is really good, different leaders each week . During the summer they have guest speakers come and have church members share. You can stay for coffee after and hang out.
Wilson Abbey is under construction, but will be opening soon in Uptown. The building is huge and will feature a coffee shop, live performance space, film screening theater, art gallery.
